A safety net for our neighbors

Walk-In Assistance program is focused on helping very low income families or the vulnerable who struggle to pay the bills. It’s a place where those in need can find a listening ear, a calm voice when they’re needed most. Assistance is immediate and our trained volunteers will also help find information on programs offering a number of ways to get help with paying bills. Many of us have experienced unexpected life circumstances and were helped by a compassionate hand…this is a big reason why we give back today.

Assistance Provided

Limited financial help with utility bills to help a family keep their lights, water, or power on. A notice of disconnection is required and help is issued by direct vendor payments. Struggling customers are directed to contact their utility company to find out about any other programs available to them.

*** Clients are never given cash or checks. All assistance goes directly to the service provider.
*** We have access to a wide variety of resources in DuPage County. If you have questions about where else in the county you can go to get assistance, we can help you identify agencies.

*** NO CASH IS KEPT ON THE PREMISES ***

Assisting our guests takes volunteers. Learn about volunteer opportunities.
