Why We’re Here:
Outreach House’s reason for being is simple. We’re here to “provide compassionate and effective assistance to people in need in our communities.” This means helping families in the Lombard/Villa Park/York Township area during the most vulnerable times of their lives. Much of our efforts are geared towards helping low income families during the first 3 years of their childrens’ lives but there are many ways we can help. Through the generosity of volunteers and donors, we’re able to provide:
Outreach House often serves as a community “first responder,” assisting families with newborns and other situation requiring immediate needs. We help families become aware of the agencies and resources available to them.
Whether helping a young family with diapers, clothing, and formula for their infants or providing emergency assistance for an ailing person’s utility bills, Outreach House is always willing to help, as resources permit.
Life can get really hard, really quickly. Many times young families are spent – physically, emotionally and psychologically. Whether it’s providing a listening ear or helpful answer to an immediate need, we’re there.
